The Natural Science Center of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter sponsors an annual weekend Nature Knowledge Workshop at the Santa Ana River near Barton Flats. Naturalists share their expertise in bird and mammal identification, geology, snakes, reptiles, insects and plant. Leisurely hikes with hand-on learning make this a very enjoyable experience and many participants attend year after year.
