STEP IT UP RALLY HELD IN BLUE JAY
The STEP IT UP rally in Blue Jay, organized
by the Mountains Group, was a big success. About 25 people actively
participated in the rally. More than 1400 rallies took place across the
country to urge U.S. officials to take immediate steps to combat global
warming. The Blue Jay gathering got a very good exposure at the junction of Hwy 189
and North Bay Road, which gets a lot of traffic on Saturdays. Many passing
motorists honked their horns to express their agreement and/or gave a
thumbs-up sign to the demonstrators.
