Bob
Sherman
Bob graduated from UMASS in 1966, with a major in Wildlife Management.
He spent 22 years teaching elementary, junior high, senior high school
and college. His strength is in the sciences especially earth science
and ecology.
Bob worked 16 years for the Town of Mashpee, MA as their Conservation
Agent charged with enforcing the Mass. Wetlands Protection Act. During
that time period he wrote Mashpee’s local bylaw making it stronger and
more specific than the state law. He received an award from the
Association to Preserve Cape Cod for his precedent setting bylaw.
Bob served on the Board of Directors for the Mass. Association of
Conservation Commissions. Currently, he serves on the Lake Operations
Committee of the Arrowhead Lake Association.
He is an avid fisherman and enjoys folk music. Bob has 2 sons, a
stepdaughter and 4 grandchildren. He is married to Sue Walker |
