International Day of Climate Action:
SUCCESSFUL CLIMATE ACTION RALLY IN CRESTLINE
On October 24, 2009, people in 181 countries came together for the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history. At over 5200 events around the world, people gathered to call for strong action and bold leadership to find solutions to the climate crisis.

In Crestline, the Sierra Club Mountains Groups organized a successful event at Lake Gregory, skillfully coordinated by Energy Committee Chair Sue Walker. SOFA (Save Our Forest Association), Friends of the Mountain, and Green Team Arrowhead joined us with booths and information. A group of participants walked around the lake, stopping at intervals to discuss how climate change threatens our mountain environment.
